Does anyone know how I could find a long-term rental on St. Croix that is off the grid (wind/solar)?

There aren't many properties like this on the island. I do know one solar powered home that has been used as a rental the past few years but am not certain if there are currently tenants in both units or not. The last tenant in the main part of the property was leaving around the first of the year but the owner may have a new tenant by now. If you want me to check with him, please send a PM with your contact info and your rental price range as I don't want to disturb the owner if you'd not be a good fit for his property if he has a vacancy in either unit.

There's a lime green house on the north shore that was for rent and/or for sale a while ago. It's squeezed onto a narrow lot between the road and the beach, and you cant' miss it. I remember seeing that it was off grid, but I don't know if it's still available. Maybe someone else is more familiar with it than I am...?

That's the property I'm talking about. I sold it to them years ago and the buyer converted it to solar power with an extensive battery back-up system. The main unit is 2-BDR, 2-BTH and there is a studio unit below.

Thanks you for the help. The guy with the green house called me. I had made other inquiries and he found me that way. I sure do appreciate your help.

Check into Sun Dog House (or something similar). They may be looking for a tenant.
