St. John pediatrician?

Hi there! I am moving to STJ in a month with my husband and 6 month old. I've been reading a lot on this site about having kids in the USVI etc. There doesn't seem to be too much info about St. John specifically. There's not too much on the Internet either. I'm wondering, is there a full time pediatrician on STJ or just STT? If there's more than one does anyone have a specific recommendation? Any other tips about life on STJ with a baby are much appreciated!! Thanks so much! I'm so excited we are finally making the move!

Ok, I actually found the red hook family practice. I guess I'm wondering if they are on STJ full time? For some reason I assumed they were mostly on STT

Most people come to STT for doctors visits.
Sorry can't be more help.
Red Hook Family Practice is in Red Hook, STT.
Don't know if they also have office in STJ.

Ok thank you! It looked like they have an office on both islands. I was confused! Thanks!

There is no pediatrician on St. John. I take my guys to Myra Keating Smith Community Health Care for their well baby and vaccines. The number there is 340-693-8900. I also take them there if they are sick. The GP's there will make referrals if there is something that requires a specialist (in St. Thomas).

Thank you so much!! I really appreciate the info! It's hard finding stuff online!

Dr. Cecelia Penn just opened a full-service pediatrics practice at Lockhart Gardens on St. Thomas.

That is so great to know thank you! I'll admit I was feeling a little nervous. It's good to know there are drs that handle pediatrics on STJ. Thanks all!

There's a great resource for STT/STJ parents on FB called Tots on the Rock: https://www.facebook.com/groups/totsontherock/

and for STX parents there's Tamarind Moms in Yahoo: http://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/tamarindmoms/conversations/topics
