St. Johnians-- need info on Xmas closings

My family will be visiting me on STT the week of Christmas and I know they would like to go to STJ (mainly to shop).

Do you know if the stores near the Ferry and at Mongoose are usually open on the days immediately following Christmas? My family understands that things may not be at full throttle during the holidays, but I hope that most of the stores will be open. I may call a few of my favorites to check, but I am hoping that some St. Johnians can give me some insight into that week. It will help us plan which day to go there.
