Having received a job as a middle school teacher on St. Thomas, I leave the 6th to begin work at an accredited prep school. The school will put me up for a night, but then I will have to finance my housing. Being a 23 year old recent college grad, I live pretty simply and dont need luxurious accomadations.. What are my chances of finding a singe room, with access to bath and kitchen--at a relatively cheap price. If anybody has a room, I am personable, intelligent, respectable and I have an Irish wit. Any other infromation will be great too. In addition, has anybody ever heard of All Saints Cathedral--I hope to live near my place of employment?--Bob

Bob: Villa Fairview is within walking distance of All Saint's Cathedral School. Unfortunately, I believe they are booked up now. You might check with Galleon House for short term accomodations. There are rooms in town, but you will need to check them out on your own. When you get here, ask everyone at school- I'll bet you will find something quickly! And welcome to the VI!

Appreciate the Information. Is all Saints on the East End? I have looked at a few vague maps, but I need a land mark (i.e part of the island, town, village) that will give me an understanding of my future location. Thanks for any additional information. Bob.

No, All Saints is in town, that is, in downtown Charlotte Amalie. It is a beautiful historic church and the school has a very good reputation.

Once again, thank you for the info. I hope, as I heard, all Islanders are as friendly as you. Bob
