Hey all,

I'm headed down to St. Thomas at the end of July and was wondering if there might be good trails or beaches to run on? I'd love some suggestions! Thanks =)

I run at the National Park (just past Red Hook).....it's a relatively flat area about 1/2 mile long.

I've also seen people running along the harbor, down town.

honis: You are really going to have to experience St Thomas yourself! The longest beach is Magens, but the running "path" that people take out there goes from the parking lot out to Peterborg Point, you can make it about a 10 K with extra laps in the parking lot. As FI says, the National Park road is popular with folks on the east end and you can extend out to Cabrita Point with a section along Vessup Beach. The airport road is another flat run; you can continue on toward UVI and Brewer's Bay. The waterfront, from Havensight to Frenchtown and back is about 4+ miles. There is a short loop around the hospital with some hills. These are popular because there is either little traffic or wide sidewalks. Remember the warnings about bikes on the road? Same goes for runners.;)
