*I am thinking about taking a job in the virgin islands us terriority can you please tell me what the state and federal % is

There is no state tax. Federal taxes are the same here as in the states. There is also no sales tax.

However, instead of a "State" tax, we do have a "V.I." tax...kinda like the same thing. It works out to be about the same as in the States.

Well, not exactly. We only have one tax -- call it whatever. It's paid at the same rate as federal income tax, but it stays here in the territory. That, social security and medicare is it.

Most states have a state tax, some cities have a city occupational tax, we have neither.
