Looking for a home stereo receiver. Moderate price. Where to buy on island? Any on-line stores that will ship here?

Thanks!

If you're on STX, try Mike's Electronics.

Tiger Direct has been having some good deals on 7.1 channel Onkyo receivers. i have an older non HDMI model and it is great and it was cheap. i got it with 7 speakers and a subwoofer that sound great for $450 at Circuit City. The new ones though do HDMI for true 7.1 channel surround. Anyway, VI Cargo it down here if you can't find a good deal on island.

For electronics there's NO WAY I'd ever buy on island. The Onkyo recommendation is a great one for a bang for the buck receiver in my experience (I've had a couple of them and have one here and in my house stateside.)

Try Frys.com, buy.com, or possibly Abes of Maine - all are pretty good about shipping here generally (some items have to go through VI Cargo though) and they tend to have some of the best online sales.

Rotel is an excellent mid priced brand. I'd also not hesitate to buy used and ship via USPS. Used marketplace for mid and high end electronics on audiogon.com It is worth checking out.
