Good Afternoon!
I just spoke with Tropical Shipping, and I can ship 100 cubic feet of personal effects from FL for about $200.00. Are there any good storage units/facilities I can leave my boxed personal effect in while I locate a permanant residence?

Check out Fortress Self Storage, Inc. Located in Estate Thomas, in the area of the hospital and the main (Sugar Estate) post office, they have various sized storage areas available. Their number is (340)776-3678, fax (340)777-9088.

Edgar,

5 x 5 foot storage unit is roughly $95/month
5 x 10 foot storage unit is roughly $160/month

We rented a 5 x 10 and downsized to a 5 x 5 and finally are moving the last boxes into our 'new' home. It seemed strange to me, but there are businesses in the storage unit area. They rent a storage unit or series of units and make it into a store. Just different from the States. Post office boxes at Fortress are $5/month. Cheap and have a street address. There is also Bovoni Storage of which I do not know prices.

I knew of a storage facility in Dallas that also allowed businesses to be run from them. They had a few with offices built in. You had 24hr access and the security of a gated facility. The units by the road were opened to the road and a convenience store operated out of it. Pretty cool for a start-up business that needed storage/warehouse.
