STT AUTO WINDSHIELD REPLACEMENT GREAT EXPERIENCE

Good, prompt service is so often unexpected but in case anyone else needs an auto windshield replaced on site on STT I thought I'd pass on my recent experience. My car's been waiting for parts and also needed a new windshield. The registration had expired so I wasn't able to drive it to Almin in Anna's Retreat where I've always gone (they're across from the car wash in Tutu and are excellent too) and getting a temporary moving permit from DMV is a pain to deal with. Almin doesn't do mobile replacement but referred me to Mobile Auto Glass. I called them and their immediate response was that they could come out that very day to do the job. It was a bit of a blustery rainy day so we made an appointment for the following day.

They showed up on the dot and within an hour had replaced the windshield. $225 for the windshield and $125 for the installation. They carted off the old windshield and materials, swept all the odd shards from the console and were on their way. It couldn't have been easier.

Anyone who's lived here for a while knows how frustrating it can be trying to find someone who'll be on time and do a job at a reasonable price. You can reach them at 340-771-4891. If you have a vehicle not commonly found here you may have to wait for them to order what you need but they have in stock what's commonly needed and my 98 Explorer was no exception. If you can drive your vehicle for a replacement, go to Almin who you can contact at 340-775-5103. I've used them twice in the last several years and they too are great to deal with.

Just passing on a positive. Cheers!

I, too, used them (Mobile Glass) many years ago. They came to my house which alleviated the problem of dropping the car off, getting a ride home, having to wait a few hours or next day for the glass to seal in place as appearently you can't drive it immediately after installation, and getting a ride to pick it back up when ready. I was able to stay home, do chores and have my truck serviced in my driveway. It was easy, affordable and convenient. They did a great job. I was actually cheaper to have them do it than take to a repair shop.
I would recommend them as well.
