STT - Good places to run/walk? With a kid?

My husband and I are moving to the island with our 15 month old daughter next month. Eventually, we'll be living on the north side. The only places I've seen to run (with or without a jogging stroller) that seem to avoid the crazy hills and traffic are the walkway down by the cruise ships and into town, and the sidewalk out by the airport. Anything else? Or maybe I'll just be chasing after the kid on the beach, and that's cool too.

They have a childrens play ground just past the Dorothea Fire Station and before Friendly's Grocery on Rte. 33 that you may enjoy and meet other parents.

Try Magens Bay. The beach is a mile long and you can walk, swim and chase your child around there. There's shade, picnic tables, bathrooms and a restaurant. Also lifeguards on duty. There's an entrance fee but if you go very early mornings or late afternoons after 4:30PM the ticket booth is closed and they don't charge. You can also get an annual family membership at a reduce price if you plan on going there often enough to take advantage of it.
