STX bus service?

hello again! my apologies for posting so much the past few days...

what kind of public transportation is available on STX? what's the story with the bus service- VITRAN i think it's called?

most people take a share taxi for around $2.50...........goes most places

yes... but i basically need to justify for a grant proposal (for research i'll be conducting there) why i will need a car... am i right in thinking that using taxis all the time and/or bus is not practical on a daily basis?

bus service is virtually non-existent and unreliable. Taxis are very expensive. If you live near a main route, you can catch the share taxis for some of your travels, but that also isn't an easy way to get around on a regular basis.

What's your research on? If your research involves the outdoors or beach type stuff, then the $2.50 taxi is out of the question. The taxis only link the two towns and some of inland spots along the main road, known as Centerline Road.
