We have a dog that seems to have come to stay. Cotton Valley area. Medium sized, long hair, skinny as can be, and starving. Obviously was someone's pet--well trained. Not terribly dirty, but skinny, VERY skinny. Anyone missing their dog, send me a PM. We're going to want to keep it if not claimed....

No, it's not Zuka's dog--we know that one, but I understand he's missing too

We're missing a smaller dog named Tammy. Looks like a Jack Russel Terrier, but doesn't have quite as much enthusiasm Tammy is the brown and white one... If it's Tammy, you can email me at rdm425@yahoo.com
Thanks

My dog is missing--Chuck. He's a neutered male, black with brown eyes, white on chest and speckled legs kind of salt and pepper. We was wearing all his id when lost, but it's been a couple months and we'd all but given up hope.

If this sounds anything like the dog you found, I have plenty of photos that I can email to you. My dog is also microchipped. If this isn't my dog, you may want to have a vet scan it to see if it's chipped or not.

I'm so sorry you never found your dog. She looks so sweet, maybe somebody "adopted" her. I never let my dogs out of my sight - I think if I was a Mother I would have had a heart attack by now!

I think we should start a whole separate forum on lost pets so it's easy to just click and be in the message board to look for lost and found pets-any one else?

That is a good idea. That way every lost pet doesn't have to end up at the Animal Shelter before it is traceable. It will ease the burden on the Shelter and stress on the pet if someone is prepared to temporarily foster it until the owner can be found. Micro-chipping your pet is also a good idea. It doesn't seem to be too painful (no need for anaesthetic), or expensive.

Thanks, losing a pet can be just as saddening as losing a family member,if I could shelter a lost pet for awhile I would definatly do it,but how do you get people outside of the message board to look here? maybe and ad in the Avis?(-to go to the message center?)
