I wanted to post this story here in case you guys didn't see it on the St Croix Source.

I didn't even know they had lifeguards in Frederiksted and it is just awesome that they saved this guy!!! WAY TO GO to these two young men!

The lifeguards worked a pool for a resort. It doesn't sound like they were working the beach when they saw the tourist and went in to get him. Very nice!

As a former lifeguard and Red Cross Water Safety Instructor - and now as an elderly snorkeler - I cannot praise these young men enough. I'm especially struck by the way they used their training. Well done!

Just to be clear, I think this pool is in a public park in F'sted, near Sandy point. Beautiful park, if you haven't been you should go.

A pool in a beautiful public park? Add that to the list of things STX has that STT doesn't 😛

Well before your expectations get too high it's pretty much our community pool.....so on any given day it can go from real nice to real ghetto.

It is one of the very few, if not the only, publically owned pool on STX. But the park and the beach is beautiful.
