Does Dr. Anduze perform both Laser and Cryo surgery? If yes, where does he perform that surgery? I've had multiple tears to the retina and would like a on-island option if surgery is necessary again. In two cases I was able to have Argon Laser done in a office visit as the tear was not too large.

What is your opinion of Dr. Ombres?

Dr. Anduze is my wonderful uncle and I think he performs most eye surgeries. I can't speak from experience as luckily I'm the ONLY family member who hasn't yet needed his services (coming soon though!) My boss sees Dr. Ombres and is going in for her second eye retina replacement surgery I think. Both come highly recommended but I would keep asking around for peoples opinions. Also, I know from experience that you may have quite a wait for an appointment for my uncle, as he works off island as well as here. Good luck SkysThe Limit and DanielB!

SunshineCruzan: Retina replacement or lens replacement? I don't think medicine is to the point of replacing retinas- yet! 😉

Daniel: For most high tech procedures, you may need to go to the States. I don't know about St Croix, but on St Thomas one opthamologist JUST started providing "Wavefront guided Lasik."
