Power's been out a few hours in cotton valley, and emergency line dept isn't even answering the phone. Anyone know what the issue is, or how widespread the problem is?

On North Shore STX (feeder 6), we were powerless today from 9:17am to 10:35am.

There is a message on the WAPA phone (option 6) that says something about a major problem that occurred this morning. But we're going on 6 hours and it's still not fixed.

Knew someone would post here with more info than I had, thanks. Just listened to the message. Sounds like most of stx was out at that point. Doesn't sound good for current any time soon with it taking this long

huge power outages always happen on holidays so the guys called in get holiday pay for the day.

Typical WAPA on a holiday. Remind me once again WHY we pay such exorbitant power rates when the power ALWAYS goes out on a holiday! Oh yeah, it's because IT IS a holiday. WAPA you suck!!!!

There was a pole down on the east End by Seven Hill Rd. It just blew over in the first big gust. There was so much bush around it that it took a long time just to get to it.
