Good day, everyone --

I am hoping to compile a guide of available resources for families/children with special needs on St. Croix. This would include service providers (both public and private), non-profit organizations, support groups, medical equipment providers, special education contacts, etc. for children with all varieties of medical issues and physical or cognitive disabilities.

If you have information to share about organizations/providers in St. Croix, please private message me. Or, if you know that such a resource already exists, please point me in the right direction!

I'll gladly post the list as it comes together.

I am also looking into the possibility of organizing some fundraising to help these families cover the costs of therapy, medical equipment/supplies, etc. that is not covered by insurance if anyone has any ideas or would like to collaborate!

Thank you,

Very good idea. I hope you get some responses soon. I used to have a grant where I helped people with DD get into homeownership all over my state. I worked with 7-8 service providers, non-profits. While the thought was admirable, the reality was something else. After two years I didn't renew or go for more funding.

I wish you well in getting your resources together.
