Sugar Bay Resort and Spa no longer a Wyndham property

Thanks to a thread on the travel board, I learned that the Sugar Bay resort on St. Thomas will no longer be affiliated with Wyndham as of July 7. Does anyone have an idea of what transpired? Who is now the owner of the Sugar Bay? Perhaps ownership has stayed the same, but the affiliation has ended. Does anyone know if the former Renaissance property is still owned by the Wyndham Vacation (timeshares) organization?
