Does anyone know of any summer programs / camps for children that are LOW COST or better yet, FREE? A friend recently moved to the island and is currently unemployed with 2 young children (under 6), and would love to find fun and educational stuff to do with them. I know o the yahoo group that offers a few different activities a few days a week but was hoping maybe there were more activities available. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
P.S. If anyone knows of some sort of P/T job that would be good for a single mom, I'll take that info as well!! Thanks in advance!

Good luck with all of that! I posted this same question a few weeks ago and was told that the Avis posts some sort of list around the end of May. I don't get the Avis (and it appears that many others won't now either), but I'm still keeping my ears open. I believe someone said St. Mary's church downtown has a relatively low cost camp -- might check there? I've been trying to find part-time work since I got here in January with very little success, too!
