Hi all, My name is Blake, I've posted on here about two years ago and here I am back again. First of I am a College student up in Washington State and I am trying to put together a plan to move down to either St. C or St. T for the summer. My question is what are the job opportunities like for summer time employment and what are the chances on finding a rental for about three months on either island. I am a construction management major and have worked construction for the last 7 years and my budget for a rental would be anywhere under 600 a month

Blake,
Welcome back to the forum. Summer employment is tough. Obviously, it's off season, so most tourist related businesses are laying off, not hiring. It is not impossible though. There are several construction projects slated for St. Croix, so if you contact construction companies, you may be able to pick up something, since you have experience and education. $600 a month for short term will also be tough. A roommate situation might be your best bet, but hard to line up from long distance. I offer short term rentals on STX. My least expensive is $750, plus utilities.

Here's a link to the phone book. It may help if you want to contact companies. http://www.viphonebook.com

Good luck!
