surf in ST. Croix

Greetings,

My wife and I are considering moving from the BVI to St. Croix.....sick of dealing with work permits etc.

Before we commit to even looking at St. Croix I was just wondering if someone might be able to tell me how consistent the surf is down there? Do you get the North swells that we do? Or is it blocked by BVI, St. Thomas, & St. John. Also, how much south swell do you get during the summer?

Thanks for any insight.....right now I can basically roll out of bed and surf one of the best waves in the Caribean and before we decide to move it would be great to have more info on the general surf conditions in St. Croix...

Regards.

There is no consistent surf on St Croix to equal what you will find at Apple Bay on Tortola.
At times storm driven seas will build some interesting surf, but few spots have surf breaks that would satisfy any serious surfer.

Hello,

Kiteboarding is an option... if you also do that:
