Here's a link with info on this year's events:

St.Croix Food and Wine Experience

This year seems to be jam packed with primo wine vendors/makers coming to island. Lots of big name chefs, too.

Anybody going? Which dinner?

Absolutely pricey but I think the value is there.
The wine dinners are all prepared by celebrity chefs, are several courses, and of course, there's plenty of wine to pair and experience.

The actual Taste of St.Croix is THE food event of the year. It's $85 bucks and all goes to the St.Croix Foundation. In the past, I've had friends that passed it up because they thought the ticket price was too high. But, they soon regret missing out when they talk to co-workers and friends who went. It's a full night of food samples from over 60 restaurants, wine, beer, mixed drinks, dancing, after parties you name it all set at the Divi Carina.

I competed for the last 2 years with Salud and I'm happy to say that I'll just be an onlooker this year. It's been a while, but I'm sure I can hold my pinky out while drinking a Heineken 😀

We went a few years ago. The tricky part was holding a drink in one hand, a little plate in the other hand, and having no hands left to eat with or serve yourself. Some people brought little trays with a drink holder.

A bit pricey.

For us common folk it does seem out of reach. However the original 'taste of st croix' was and is a great experience. Wonderful food and a very hot ticket. It is always a sell out. We have done it for a several years and always make sure we buy early before tickets are gone.

Some of the other 'foody' things that the website touts are great if the buck is not a hindrance. But I would suggest if you can afford it , 'taste' is food time at it's best. Hope you can still get a ticket.
