I thought the Senate President's responses were weak and evasive, rather than codify the rules he addressed the issues on an item by item basis. There needs to be written law to deal with legislative expenses that is continuous over the years not one that just addresses current issues. I think all legislative disbursements should be listed on the Legislature web site so that we know who is spending what and why.
If it isn't codified they will just find other ways of stealing our hard earned tax dollars.
They think they are above the law.

For me, this audit is meaningless. Anyone that lives here knows the govt is corrupt. The audit only puts a number to the theft we all know is taking place. Besides, the 6.9 mil is just a small picture of what's going on.
What I want to know is what are the consequences for the thieves. Is an audit necessary for them to know that a transparent logical system should be in place to track money distributed? Are these people going to prison? Will they be forced to return the thousands of dollars they spent on themselves and their families and girlfriends or boyfriends? WHAT happens now?
