My husband and I just began researching a possible move to the islands. He works for a major airline, and I am a teacher. Our job outlook is quite positive. Could anyone tell me what the tax rate is? Thank you,

Sheri

Sheri,
We pay the same taxes here as in the mainland. The only difference is we pay it to the Internal Revenue Bureau not the IRS .... there is no state income tax and there is no sales tax. There are road taxes, etc. for bringing cars into the territory as well as personal use tax on items you ship in for your household. That's about it.
Pamela.
