My wife and I are looking to move down to the islands next year. She is a teacher. However, if things fall right, we could make the move much sooner. We were looking at the payscale for teachers and it gave a two figures...salary + fringe.....What is fringe? Also, while I am posting, I am a computer networking professional if anybody knows of any openings.

Thanks,

Chris

"fringe" typically refers to fringe benefits: medical/dental insurance, disability insurance, sometimes life insurance, etc. that is paid by the employer.

One of the fringe benefits of government employment is the number of holidays, around 26. Beyond that, there are extra days granted by the governor for Carnival, etc.
