* Hello! I'm from the Island of St. Croix and I'm contemplating on moving back home. I currently have my bachelor's in Computer Information Systems. Are there any technical jobs available?

I remember the university has an IS depatement and was looking. But that was a wile back. You might call the Human resource department and check if they have openings. Iris

Hello Krob,

Check UVI's employment page, they have the two following positions posted:

Information Technology Specialist I - Network Assistant

Programmer Analyst III

The site is:

http://hrweb.uvi.edu/employment/index.html

You might also contact All Temp Employment Agency, they have this ad out:
"If you're a Virgin Islander with work experience and/or a college level education who is interested in returning home, register with us to apply your skills to one of the EDC firms that have relocated to St Croix & local businesses. 340-713-0688"

You may also contact Innovative and see if they have any related openings and the internet companies as well. The hospital and schools are other possibilities.

Hello Starlight,

The Virgin Islands industrial development program is administered by the Economic Development Commission (EDC). Its basic purpose is the promotion of growth, development and diversification of the Virgin Islands.

We have a section about them on this web site at:

https://vimovingcenter.com/business_scene/taxincentives.php

and they have a web site at:

http://www.usvieda.org/
