Not enough IMHO. No one has been sent to jail.

A chemical banned since 1985? You could give them the benefit of the doubt if it were a year before the incident but thirty plus years? Someone has to go to prison a year for every day these people have to suffer!

It was banned for indoor use. It is still used. It is a dangerous pesticide with strict guidelines for a reason. The people who applied the product were more than likely ignorant to what they were spraying. If anyone goes to prison it should be the manager who signed off on it. The distributor in PR who sold it.

It wasn't sprayed, it was a canister of compressed gas, It was opened under a tent built of plastic over a set of kitchen cabinets. The gas somehow escaped into the unit above. That is were the people were poisoned. If it were an approved product an aweful smelling eye burning agent would have been added to the gas.
The people would have known somthing was wrong and this tragedy would have been avoided. So just know that when you see an exterminator with a pump up sprayer, Methel Bromide isn't what is being applied.

How and where it was applied is irrelevant. It was banned from indoor use for over thirty years. Probably before the ignoramus who released the chemical was born.

Yes I'm quite aware it was banned for indoor use. People need to understand what happened. That way they aren't freaking out every time they see a competent exterminator doing a job.

I can tell you one thing, Terminex on STX is not competent. I have had service once since I signed my contract in March. Calls and emails are useless. So let see how they react with my credit card dispute.
