There are quite a few of us from Washington State here, too. Escaping the dismal gray murky skies and 9-10 months per year of incessant rain with temperatures in the 40's and 50's most of the time. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

Paradise is sooooooooo nice!

Seems like 90% of the continentals I've met on stx have been from New England (Mass. & Conn.).

What part of Texas are you from? What island are you on?

We are from NW of Austin.

This is one way you tell if someone is a Real Texan, just ask them the following questions. A real Texan will unhesitatingly(?) know the answers>

Q - Do you know what the plural of "You" is?

A - "Y'all"

Q - Do you know what the plural of "Y'all" is?

A - "All Y'all"

Q - Do you you know what the plural of "All Y'all" is?

A - "You'ins"

There may be more, but you would have to ask a Real Texan. Just a sample of things I learned living in Dallas. LOL

No Kiddin'... LOL!!!

Yeah, "you'ins"... I didn't hear it often, but I first heard it in Dallas... maybe the fella who said it was smokin' a corncob pipe... can't remember.

Texas is next to Arkansas, isn't it? Maybe it's a little cultural exchange that's been adopted by some there... hehehe. Besides, it does sound like the next step of a natural progression of "You", "Y'all", "All Y'All" doesn't it?

I just read on Xanga.xom the next plural is "All You'ins"... WTF?
