Anyone know what's up over there? They ripped out a bunch of nice old trees, exposed a bunch of nice old tires. Do you think they are finally going to connect the bridge?

It's a now disputed gas station site where construction was recently halted after neighboring residents complained after the land was cleared and trees were removed. DPNR looked into it and found that the owner didn't have permitting. An investigation is ongoing.

Contact Senator Marvin Blyden's office. He is the one investing whether it was properly permitted (which it doesn't appear to be). Residents in the area have complained to him and I think it was because of him that a cease and desist order was issued.

The issue was on TV2 last week. The segment may be on YouTube now.
