Have some visitors coming, and we are thinking of getting a toddler bed for their use.I'm sure we can get a crib sized mattress to use, but need the bed itself. Not enough time to order from off island, does anyone know if any stores on stx sell this? Tried Kmart, but the folks I spoke to did not seem to know whether they had them or not.

K-Mart usually has in their baby/infant section. Probably less expensive than at furniture stores.

What's a toddler bed? If using a crib sized mattress, wouldn't you be looking for a crib? Is it the same thing? Pack and Play seems to be popular for traveling babies, but I have no idea how old/big a child they will accommodate.

toddler beds take a crib sized mattress, but have headboard, footboard and half sides so child is somewhat protected but can move in and out. We don't want to do cribs for occasional visitors, and once the kids get to an age or size the porta cribs and pack n play are a bit too confining. My neighbor is going to check Kmarts for me before I order from offisland.
