I am returning to the States in the fall. I have a Shepherd and a Cane Corso. They are both rescues. I am looking for someone to assist me getting them to the states. Interested in connecting with a dog loving pilot or possibly sharing a charter. Any one going my way?

Maybe this link will help.

If you're returning in the fall, the temperature may be low enough to allow your dogs to fly cargo on American as long as your dogs weights fall within the guidelines.

Good luck.

American airlines will not ship Cane Corso.

Delta will not accept a cane corso (and other breeds) if the temperature on any portion of their journey is greater than 75°F.

You may be able to ask your vet to designate a different breed on paperwork to get dog off island.

Really? No reputable vet is going to risk his license and livelihood knowingly misclassifying a dog for any reason.

Given that it's a rescue dog, the chances are that it's a mixed breed.
How do you think pit bulls get off the island?

If not privately chartered (or genetically modified to sprout wings or gills) then PAC (Pet Air Carrier) advises:

Many airlines will accept the “restricted breeds” if they are transported in a specially built wooden crate which meets IATA specifications.

Delta does not accept any animals as checked baggage any more at any time. Only in the cabin.

But they can travel freight via Delta Cargo:

If you can get the dogs to SJU, Delta cargo can ship from there.

It's a difficult situation, particularly given the breed of one of your dogs. It's not of any help to you but does serve as a caution for those moving here who decide to adopt particularly dogs, You nay not be here for the duration of their lives and flying large dogs off island can't be done in the summer months while flying a restricted breed dog is way more of a challenge. Hope you can get it all sorted out one way or t'other. Good luck!
