We need information on moving a vehicle to the VI. We did it years ago, but now I am reading that you can't have a loan on the car. Please let me know any way around this issue and a good company to use. Thanks to you all!

The loan thing is up to your bank. You need a title. A friend brought his Honda Passport down and he owed a Stateside credit union. As far as I know you need the title and reg. Get some kind of doc from your lender statinf its ok to bring the car to the USVI.

Once you get the car here you will need to pay road tax in long bay at the IRB. Take the paper BACK to the DMV and follow the nice lady's instructions. PLEASE< THANKS< all that crap and make dam sure you understand what she told you to do or it's your fault.

Good luck

Hello Jennifer,

Like 'All Islands' mentioned its a matter of getting permission from your lender.

Teresa (a board user) did this and wrote about it in her moving story, here is a link to it. Scroll down just a bit to the Shipping Car part. https://www.vimovingcenter.com/what_to_expect/movingstory13.php

You can try Lee at http://www.managedfreight.com/ for help with the shipping.
