Does anyone know why you can't get twizzlers on STT

Cost U Less has them some times. Seen them in Gourmet Gallery as well. Now if cost you less would just bring back the big tubs of Red Vines I would be happy...

Islandlovin, I wish you posted this on Monday, the 18th, because I went shopping on Tuesday the 19th in the am and I would've been on the look out for them for you :X

Hankering after that which you can't find here is simply a waste of energy but is often a preoccupation of newbies having a hard time once the reality of life here starts settling in and the little annoyances start cropping up. 😀

As for those Twizzlers, I spotted either those or something very similar in CUL just a few days ago and they only caught my eye briefly as a friend offered me a package of them just last week ...

The alternative is to have friends or family mail a care package!

At first, I was all about those care packages, but as time went on, I just stopped "needing/wanting" those things.

After almost sixteen years my reply to the "what can I bring you from the states?" is that I don't even know what they sell anymore. I'm fine without it.

After close to 30 I stand there with my mouth open looking like a fish out of water when someone asks me what they can bring me. The only thing I can ever think of in season is a really good freshly picked tomato and ditto ears of corn! Other than that I draw a big blank. Oh wait, I did have a bizarre craving recently for a Dunkin Donut and a friend who's there now is going to try and bring me back a couple. There goes the diet.

Whenever somebody asks me what I want from the states, and I say, "Nothing," they bring me a shirt in the wrong size. So now I tell them something I want, even if I can get it here.

Peaches are what I ask for in summer. Fresh, delicious peaches that actually have a smell and you must eat them over the sink because they are so juicy. Fresh corn and other goodies are nice too, since they cost so little stateside and are actually so fresh they taste like they are supposed to! I have yet to buy a peach here in STT that actually has a smell, ripens properly or tastes as it should.
I stopped wasting my $$.

I hate to admit it but have no idea what a twizzer is!

I didn't either and had to google it. It was then that I realized I'd seen them or something similar in CUL and that was what my friend had offered me. 😀

Twizzers is a typo for Twizzlers.

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twizzlers: "Twizzlers is a brand of red licorice candy in the United States and Canada. Twizzlers is the product of Y&S Candies, Inc., of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, now a subsidiary of The Hershey Company."

Ahh Twizzlers are on of life's great staple foods! They sell them at Food Center on the East End most of the time. I have seen them too at CUL but only every once in a while. They also sell the individual wrapped ones in tubs at OfficeMax of all places! Hope this helps 🙂

you can also order them at walmart.com and have them shipped here-RedVines, that is. They might have twizzlers but i didn't check on those. they have snickers and twix and hershey's and all that kind of stuff real cheap too , free shipping if you order a certain amount 45 or 48 worth of stuff.

If you don't get them fresh then they get the island taste. There here you just need to spot them.
