Waiting for a week for an overnite UPS delivery.
UPS says it is in customs. i think otherwise.
Like they don't have an STJ delivery person any more
Calls to their office go nowhere. Can't leave a message or reach a person.

any body else have recent experience with them?

Same thing happened to me in St. Thomas tho it was with FedEx.
I tracked it so knew when package arrived and called to arrange for delivery. They said it was in Customs and to call back in a couple days. It took a week from the time it arrived in STT and was released by Customs and ended up going in to pick it up myself plus pay a customs charge. It was a replacement DISH TV receiver and, unfortunately, made in China.

It did take me several calls, in each instance, to make contact as they seem to only have one person in the office that handles everything and returning messages was not high on the list.

He gotten deliveries to postnet no problems. Takes about 2-3 days from the states, never held up or had to pay customs.

Did you try calling the courier service that delivers UPS on St. John? Things that I get from UPS usually take a few extra days. If it is something coming from overseas, customs holds it up even longer, and duties are due at time of delivery.

Ahhh, I didn't know that! I have always been curious what his cut of the shipping charges were. I got a free cell phone, free shipping, from Sprint (cell service) that was shipped via UPS delivered by Sprint Courier on St. John and the shipping charges on the bill were $263 and some change! Ouch! Glad I didn't have to pay for/or deal with that charge.

UPS and FedEx consider us International, which is why the rates are so extravagant.
