US VI and British VI comparison
I started my research with the USVI, since the move there would be easier and more natural for me as an American citizen. However, now the BVI are in my "field of research" vision, as well. From my initial look, it appears that BVI have certain advantages over the USVI: less crime, less commercial, less crowded. I have not looked at the real estate prices on BVI. I imagine they would be higher than on USVI. I am lucky enough to have a job that I can do from home (from anywhere in the world), so why not BVI? For those who lived in both places, can you summarize the differences? Thanks.
Not sure, but if you need a mortgage, I think rates are higher there.
If you are not a British citizen there are rules regarding buying property that are different than purchasing US property plus you have to leave for 24-48 hours every 3 months to check and out for immigration purposes. I would suggest you google the info.

You can't just move to the BVI unless you're a British citizen. You also need a work permit. Crime isn't any better there either.
Even if you are a British citizen, you can't move to the BVI. The BVI has their own immigration laws that even apply to citizens of the UK.
This is a Very comprehensive and informative guide to anyone considering living or moving to the BVI.

Thanks for the heads up.
