While googling today I found this paper which may be of interest to current and future residents.

I had seen this a couple of years ago but had lost the link. I'd love to see what a follow up report based on more recent research sources would produce.

I had read that paper in a book called Caribbean Ethnicity Revisited some time back... its an interesting piece and worth reading as you suggested.
