Hi, I just moved to STT - EE. I was curious to know (an estimate) about how much the utilities will cost me each month. I saw the chart under the cost of living but wanted a more direct answer.
The apt I am renting uses a cistern water system
Thanks

Depends on the size of your apt. for WAPA - and A/C use if any, electric stove?, separate meter? shared cistern can mean shared costs if it must be trucked and in a multi unit location you have no control over the other residents use. Condos pay by unit usage in general.
Cable tv or satellite and your internet can be in the $100 -$250 range combined depending on features and speed needed.
Cell phone bill will probably be close to your stateside costs

It's always a good idea to ask your LL the average cost. As ExitZero says, it's a huge variable depending on your needs and usage. An electric dryer sucks a lot of electricity - I line-dry all my wash and even a comforter will dry in a couple of hours. If you don't have space for a conventional clothes line you can buy a portable one to use on your deck. Unless you're up high on the East end where you can catch some breeze you'll probably need to use the A/C, particularly in the summer, and that's a big power-sucker.
