I am a semi-retired home construction professional looking for vacation homes that need upkeep on a limited basis. Could someone point me in the direction to advertise with the most effectiveness. I am living on St. Croix and wish to only work here.Thanks for any help.

Word of mouth is probably the most effective form of advertising down here. Start by talking to vacation/property management companies and real estate brokers. Tell them what you want to do. They may have work for you, or refer you to others who want your services.

Hello there! I think if you look through the yellow pages (if you have the time to do that), I saw perhaps two companies that hire people to do just that. I imagine that if you start with them, the word would get out and you would be able to pick up some side business.
I agree wih Linda from Michigan as well. Word of mouth is faster and more effective than the newspaper. Each time you go somewhere, just let people know what you do. If the service is there, the people will come.
