Tomorrow we are flying to our favorite place on earth....(that would be St Croix USVI ).

Unfortunatly we were not able to get here(there) last winter, but we would like to know about vegetables and fruit.

During the winter of 2003/04 we discovered the fruit and vegetables at Little Princess market. This market supplied many restaurants on st Croix and had the BEST...produce in the Virgin Islands...Maybe the whole Caribbean?

During our winter visits on St Croix we were able to find the BEST produce we had ever found in the islands. We have been told that this wonderful place has closed down. (oh no)

Please let us know if it is still open...or if they closed down...who now brings great produce from the states...

I haven't seen any yet. I'm actually consider growing some myself because I can't find any good produce.

you can get locally grown produce either at Southgate Farm's vegetable stand on the days they are open or at any of the little tables locals set up along the roadside to sell their backyard output of fruits and vegetables. The new Cost-u-Less, just east of Sunny Isle at Sion Farm, has a much better produce department than the old one. Plaza West still has pretty decent produce much of the time.
