Good Evening,
So, the dreaded time to register my jeep has arrived. Just a quick question. Does the sticker expire at the beginning of the month or the end. My sticker says 2 of 2014. Does this mean I have to have a new sticker BY February or by the of February? May seem like a silly question but I have been given two different answers recently. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

It expires at the end of the month.

You have until the end of February to register your jeep.

If you have to do inspection, do a little mini inspection yourself before going... make sure headlights work, brake lights, indicators, windshield wipers, horn.

You need to show the inspector your driver's license, registration form and proof of insurance. Just have it all ready and when you drive into the inspection booth, hand all three to the inspection person. The inspector will give them all back. But inside when processing the paperwork for new sticker, they will keep the proof of insurance, so make sure to bring that extra copy the insurance company provides.

Last couple times I’ve been the whole process took around an hour. Bring a newspaper or magazine to pass the time.

...and it's best not to do it near the end of the month as the lines are MUCH longer then.

If you look on your registration, it has a date. You are really supposed to follow that. I think the idea was to keep down the long lines at the end of the month.

I was with a friend this morning who'd just come from BMV. She needed to have her license changed because of a name change and re-register her vehicle. She went early in the morning and the lines were l - o - n - g but she was in and out in just over an hour and was pleasantly surprised!

The reason you keep getting 2 different answers is because there are really two different answers....like Islander said, the end of the month is generally accepted...however as eastender stated there is a date on your registration but that often conflicts with the little message on your sticker which says "Expires on the last day of the month"
