next step...

find someone to take care of the new title and registration for you. much better to fork out an extra few bucks then to sit at the police dept all day waiting.

Go to the East End Secretarial Service and ask them for the piece of paper with the two names of guys that will complete the registration for you. As noted above it costs for the service and is completed on island time....but it is leagal and it does get acocmplished.

thanks for your advise... however im not on island and kinda cautious on sending someone my clear signed title to a complete stranger. are they reputable, honest...? i would much rather do it this way.

Yes, they are honest. So maybe what you need to do is to entrust one of US to mail the title too, and then let us get it into the hands of the guys?????

I know the recommended guy of the two charges $100. + whatever the actual fees are for what you need accomplished.

Email me or send me a private message and I will give you the name of a guy who took care of my car. WORTH EVERY CENT - $150 bucks. Not only that, the shipping company had overestimated the weight of my car, and I got money back, and he gave it right back to me.
Best,
Bill
