Will our Verizon cell phones work on STJ? I realize there would be roaming charges, I just want to know if they will work. Thanks.

My son called me last year from the Beach Bar on his Verizon phone. In two weeks I plan on doing the same to him.

Works, but you will be charged roaming and/or international rates.

We just checked with Verizon two weeks ago .... 69 cents a minute for a call from the USVI to anywhere in the USVI or back to the mainland. If the person you are calling is also a Verizon customer it charges them 20 cents a minute to receive a call from the USVI. Any call you receive while in the USVI will also cost you 69 cents a minutes.

I've been using Cingular on STJ. I used to have good service in Cruz Bay but lately it is horrible. Anyone else having this problem or just me?
