VI bar exam questions

All,

I am a New York/New Jersey licensed attorney who has just registered to take the USVI bar exam this July 2010. My MBE and MPRE scores are less than 5 years old so I will only be taking the local essay portion of the exam...and am looking for some bar exam prep advice/guidance. Here are my questions:

1) I have undoubtedly forgotten a large chunk of the MBE subjects and need to know whether I need to study those subjects for the local essay portion of the exam or just focus 100% on the 12 local subjects (I know that the MBE subjects are not listed as being tested on the local essay portion of the exam but I would like confirmation of that fact.)

2) Any advice on sources for VI bar exam preparation, other than statutes and case law which is the current plan of attack (e.g., BarBri)? I've seen one website that sells prep materials and seems to be legitimate based on some blogs I've read, any personal insight would be appreciated.

3) Any general USVI bar exam advice? (e.g., USVI's most tested subjects, general tips/advice)

Thanks in advance!

She's not on this message board, but you might try calling my friend Rachel Morrison at 773-0180. I know she's practiced in the VI for several years, so she'd probably have the answers you seek. Good luck!

look on the web for VI Bar Review. They sell the materials by CD.
