Prime members can borrow for free. If they want to own it, it's $20. It's free to keep only if you subscribe to Kindle Unlimited.

I think it's free if you have Amazon Prime... I just got it for free.

I just tried it to see. I have Prime and they charged me $20, just like the page said it would be. I returned it, and borrowed for free through the Lending library. Have you accidentally signed up for Kindle Unlimited? I know some people who have done that.
