Hello

I lived on St. Croix 7 years ago and am considering returning ... I am trying to gather current information as far hook-ups/ deposits/ fees for utilities and telephone service ... I found information on cable service, Choice Comm. and for DSL highspeed interent ... Is there anyone else offering cheaper highspeed internet? ... Choice Comm is $100.00 a month for residence ... I have not had much success finding any information on WAPA or Vitelco ... Any help greatly appreciated!

If you order the settlers handbook (i would highly recommend) It gives a very accurate picture of the infrastructure of island living. It has a section of all this info. My edition is the 12th and was released in 2002. I'm not sure how accurate the pricing is or what the latest edition is.

I second the motion! Order the Settlers Handbook. Best investment I ever made - for little money. Skip the video tape. The Handbook is accurate, complete, current, and absolutely a must have for moving or even currently living on the islands.

Hello Regina,

The Handbook mentioned is the one at the top of this page, so you can order it there.

Eve - the 12th edition is the newest one.

For updated prices on utilities you can look on this web site under cost of living - it was just updated last month with current prices. The deposits are not there though.

I think the phone company, Innovative, offers highspeed also. Check out their web site for informaiton www.iccvi.com
