Good Morning Everyone,

I have been on the island (STX) now for just a couple of weeks and finally had a chance to go to the beaches. I stopped at several yesterday on the east end and could not help but notice the trash thrown all over while people just sat nearby and looked at it. I am going to go out next Saturday or Sunday with gloves and bags to pick it up. It should not take more than hour if I do it by myself but it would be much quicker if I had a team. My goal is to get enough people on the island involved with keeping the beaches clean. If I have time I will stop over on the west end and do the same next weekend if my time permits. If there are any takers PM me and let me know. Thanks!

There are several organized beach clean ups throughout the year all over the island, so it is being done. I'm not sure who organizes them, but they probably have an established network/email list of volunteers that would be interested. Contact SEA (ST Croix Environmental Association). They will probably be able to help you.
