If you've read my posts, you probably realize that I teach at Ricardo Richards Elementary School. This year, we are doing an intensive math intervention program for students in all grades. But, we do not have enough people to facilitate the intervention.

Does this describe you?
-have free time during the day (1-2 hours a day would be wonderful)
-enjoy elementary children
-want to help our students develop math skills
-love children
-enjoy volunteering to benefit our future leaders

The intensive math focus will begin in November and will run daily for the month, then again in January and March. We are looking for volunteers to help with basic multiplication tables and simple word problems. The volunteers would be assigned 2-3 students and would work with the same students everyday for the complete month. You don't need to be an accountant or have a math degree to help out, because the students that are needing assistance need one on one with basic skills...and we will train you.

If you are interested, please PM me with your name, phone number and times you may be available. And, thanks for your consideration!

STX
It's located in "Strawberry" or right off the "go fast highway" near Sunny Isles.

Awesome. I teach during the day, but I wish you luck getting community volunteers. I will let the retirees who live near me know...

Thank you very much!

To everyone else
Even if you can't personally help out, but know someone who might be interested, please let me know. I will be glad to get in touch with them.
