IMO, there shouldn't be a compromise! Deep, deep, spending cuts need to happen! Period! Starting with the new pay raises of the House and Senate!

Well said! Massive spending cuts are required in all areas including entitlements but sadly this 'compromise' has NO spending cuts whatsoever. Cutting future planned spending IS NOT a spending cut! We are broke as a nation and taxing a few successful families and businesses is not going to change that. All of this to obtain 8 days worth of additional spending dollars....ludicrious!

We are only broke if you believe Fox News. Jeesh. If you want no taxes, move to Somalia.

I wouldn't be so sure. Today there have been two VIPD cars blocking the road/ driveway to the house where he stayed last year.

Rhstoo,
Blaming foxnews? Really? Try looking at the data. It is not a network issue. When in doubt, try facts.

OK -- try: http://robertreich.org/

I blame Fox because they persist in lying, obfuscating, and encouraging cognitive dissonance. And, sadly, some people pay attention to them.

If you think America has a spending problem or that America is broke, think again.

I doubt there is any news source that is totally unbiased, but certainly some are much more biased than others. Every situation consists of multiple angles and if you only rely on one source for the bulk of your news then you will seldom be able to see anything but what you want to see. Confirmation bias may be comforting but it is not particularly illuminating.
