Donna fought Walmart for VI residents. I didn't agree with her involvement, but I was impressed at how she listened to and took action for residents who buy online.

My topic was moved there.. so I agree. Also after reading what Christiansen did I have changed my tune.. obviously her actions here contacting Walmart have shown me the folly in believing that all politicians are bought and paid for. She should not only be territorial governor but queen of the galaxy

The last 3 times that I tried to order from WM, they would not ship my items here.

The last item was a daytimer calendar refill.

But nothing changed with Walmart's shipping policy...so her involvement was meaningless.

Like so many of DC's causes.
Bout the same success rate as Chucky getting rid of LEAC in her first term. Still waiting on that election promise.

Too bad they don't have 2 year terms for a governor.

I'm confused about what there is to "get". Ms Christensen has done so much for the territory for so many years and, out of all that she's accomplished, I found myself out in left field trying to determine why her approaching Walmart about their shipping policy to the USVI was deemed so notable.

I'll hazard a totally wild guess that it had something to do with Walmart shipping to the USVI.

Seems like politicians talking to corporations yield the same net results as me talking to a random associate. Zero. Bet if Walmart asked something of a politician though they would become a contortionist to help them. I mean just because the 6 Walmart heirs have more money than half the population of the USA isn't any reason to do their bidding at all times
