I am here on St Thomas until the end of October, and I am looking for the opportunity to spend some time on a fishing boat charter or sailing boat charter. as a chef and bartender my experience is in the hospitality business. my wife is a travel nurse and working much of the time so I have allot of free time on my hands. I was a boatswains mate in the navy for six years so I have some sea experience. if you are interested in a helping hand i would love the the experience. please contact me at

[email protected]

thank you for your consideration.

Chad....

Chad: Have you been over to American Yacht Harbor? They are in the middle of a huge fishing tournament and you would have a chance to chat with the folks in the know.

I just heard about the tournament yesterday. I think it is about over now. Or am I wrong? I don't know I had one guy take me on as a crew member starting at the end of the month. I am still looking for more ideas. I am not sure where the American yacht harbor is located, but I will look for it in the morning. thanks for the tip

AYH is in downtown Red Hook, just look for the boats. If you have trouble finding them you can ask someone or call them at 775-6454.

Also, there will be another tournament around the full moon in September. I love my alter ego's description, "downtown Red Hook"! 😀 American Yacht Harbor is the building water side in Red Hook that has Sopchoppy's, Island Yachts, Neptune Fishing, Burrito Bay Deli and some other businesses, but I am not going to give the others free advertising!

Hey EE!

Yeah, I know I know nothing about boats or boater hang-outs but I've driven by plenty of times and I gave the simplest "directions" I could 😀 Now you've got me wondering which businesses there don't deserve free advertising and why not - HA!
