Good day!
My name is Bridgett. My husband I and want to make the move to St.Johns in four years. We have visited many, many, many times, we will be there in March for two weeks. We are mid 40's and at a point in our life where we can spend half the year there but not a whole. We need three months on the island, three in states, three on island, three in the states until we can make the full time move. Is there anybody out there who is wanting or able to do the same? We are not looking at high end rentals. We are looking for a one bedroom up to $1,500 per month.. two bedrooms is fine but not a necessity. Anybody out there? Iv been reading this message board almost daily for over a year as well as any and all St Johns info I can get my hands on... I look forward to getting to know the board regulars!

I can't tell from your post if you are planning your 3/3/3/3 for now or in 4 years. Are you asking for someone to share a rental with you, or timeshare the rental when you aren't on island?

Sounds like they want to move completely in 4 yrs. but go back and forth 3/3/3/3 until then.
They should probably post on Craig's List.

You may want to give this blog a read. It's about a couple that moved down to St. John (no "s" at the end) recently and have similar accommodations as what you are looking for.

It's too bad you are looking on St. John. My wife and I are retired and have family on St. Thomas and would have loved to rent a place there for and travel back and forth. We have considered renting a place year round and travel back and forth every 6 months or so and have the ability to buy a little hooptie car to keep at the rental so that it would be available when we are there. But it has only gone to the conversation process no further as yet.

Omg I know. I'm sorry but that's one of my pet peeves. There is a St. Jhon's bit it's not in the USVI lol. I've even heard locals saying it with the S, drives me crazy. 🙂
